Abandoned

This old abandoned home must be rich with history.
It no doubt saw the Civil War....a battle took place in this area.
Now it sits here quietly~holding the ghosts within its walls.

I would love to get past the gate that bars the way and try to see those old secrets.

I never have enough nerve to go into old buildings though I'm with you on this one. I'll bet it's wondrous inside. Beautiful photo.

Chasity, Your pictures are so great. I just love the old house and the school! I like the old new is fine but doesn't seem as sturdy and well thought out as the old! Thanks for sharing!

I love, love, love, that picture, Chas. It actually looks more like a painting than a photo. Don't you wish that I still worked at the frame shop so that I could frame some of these up for you? I do have quite a few frames in the attic. :) Maybe a double mat with the off white on the inside and the shutter color on the outside and a wood frame with just a hint of the red from the house. It would be fun to work with.
Love You, Mom

Your photos are stunning! And I can tell already that you're way more advanced with PSE than I! ;) You do a wonderful job of post processing.

I love old buildings, and their hardware. (So much so that part of my home is a remodelled one room schoolhouse. lol)

Keep up the wonderful work!

Absolutely beautiful! I wasn't sure if it was a photo or a painting.

Oh, I love this photo. It speaks mystery to me. I think I would try to get past the gate. I have been known to on occasion and not been caught yet. :)
