Iris Kaleidoscope

Our days are a kaleidoscope. Every instant a change takes place....new harmonies...new contrasts....new combinations of every sort. The most familiar people stand each moment in some new relation to each other, the their work, to surrounding objects.
~Henry Ward Beecher

Very nice! The more you can get the results you want straight out of the camera, the more accomplished you are! :)

That's a great 'kaleidoscope' shot - and I LOVE the colours of this iris. Do you know what variety it is?

Beautiful, Chasity! I scrolled back through your past four posts. I really liked the one of your daughter on the bench! So sweet and dream-like.

oh, how very beautiful! irises used to be my favorite flower. i still love them. i call them delicate troopers. they are so intricate and delicate, but still so sturdy and substantial... especially the bearded irises.

i recently took some macros of the inside of a tulip... very similar to this. i love when i look closely at a flower. there is so much more than initially meets the eye, no? reminds me of one of my favorite quotes by georgia o'keefe. something like "Nobody sees a flower really; it is so small. We haven't time, and to see takes time"

anyway, thank you for stopping by my blog and your kind words. lots of beautiful photos here! i too, will look forward to visiting again and again. i shall add your blog to my blog roll as a reminder to visit.

blessings,
~georgia
