Summer's Bounty

The true harvest of my daily life is somewhat as intangible and indescribable as the tints of morning or evening.
It is a little star dust caught,
a segment of the rainbow which I have clutched.

Scrumptious. For me there's nothing better than tomatoes and corn on the cob for a quick and sweet bite for lunch.

"...star dust caught..." Oh, I love that--YES! Summer's tomatoes...mmm... I miss really good tomatoes. Tough growing those here, due to climate. But we're eating lots of salads & kale! Planning to show homegrown at mt photo blog this week--so much good eating! Happy Days, Chas :o) ((HUGS))

One of the things I miss most about the midwest is the ability to obtain really good tomatoes in the summer...the ones we get here are never the same. This photo makes my mouth water.

Re your comment on The Villages...that photo was processed with a Photoshop action. Works pretty well.

My mouth is watering at the thought of a real tomato. The grow your own kind are so much better than those things they sell in the supermarket.
