To everything - turn, turn, turn
There is a season - turn, turn, turn
And a time for every purpose under heaven
~The Byrds

The photo was taken of our detached "garage" that lies at the back of our property.
It's a worn-down ugly old building that needs to come down
but has a few qualities worth photographing.
Always look at the bright side

Worn down ugly can sometimes be very beautiful, and this IS.
Chasity this is a beautiful post, I love the message behind the photo. I sure hope that you find a new home for parts like this when you take the old building down.
I heard this song on the radio late one night earlier this week and I was going to google it to find the song, I didn't know the Band nor the name of the song so you've saved me from trying to find it! Thank you ever so much.
Have a fantastic day.
There is beauty in age, but it takes a certain way of seeing to find it. This is beautiful, thanks for seeing it!
~happy september! may you and yours be blessed with only an abundance of warmth surrounding you...beautiful picture and words to leave us with...warm wishes and brightest blessings~
I love this and almost posted this same thing last night.
Was saving it for another day so if you see it in long form you know we think alike this time.
Loved you blog and photos. Stunning
old rusty things tend to make the best subjects, don't they? great shot. have a wonderful day.
Such exquisite detail. Love the textures here.
I like the way you layer the textures. I'll be singing that song in my head now too!
You turn the most basic objects into things of beauty
Lovely photo, lovely post. What a flashback, though...The Byrds! I remember riding down Glenstone Avenue in Springfield, Missouri with this song on my friend's car radio!
You made this into a thing of beauty!
Everything old is new again....beautiful shot my friend.
Many prayers for Shauna....:-)Hugs
I just found your blog, and have spent some moments enjoying your artwork. I love your photography, especially your subtle and creative use of textures and other editing tools. You are very talented, and I'll return!
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, isn't it? I think old & rusty can be a beatuiful thing;)
You find the best quotes/words...seriously.
I love this post.
Yep, that handle is definitely worth photographing.
I love the title of this photograph! You always find such wonderful things to put on here!
you have made it look so interesting, amazing what we miss until we have a camera in our hand
Goodness if the rules are to tear down the old and worn I'm outta here. There's a nostalgic presence of mind associated with those images, things that say Grandma and Grandpa, family ties, we need those in our life as well. Such beautiful shots. Take Care AJ
