Driving Home

We were driving home from helping at Shauna's today....
there was the most beautiful dark cloudy sky.
The kind that only appears during this time of year.

The sun was peeking through from the west

illuminating the tree tops.

It was enchanting.

We passed this gorgeous field dotted with hay bales and horses

I turned around so that
I could snap some pictures of them in the lovely sunset.

As soon as I opened my door
they started walking my way.

No shots of lovely horses grazing in the distance tonight.

In fact....

I got several up close and personal~
as they rubbed their soft noses in our hair.

Sweet fellas.

Wish I had some apples to share.

What a reward for pulling over - they obviously recognized a sensitive soul !

Lovely treatment of a beautiful photo.

All the best for Shauna, you, and your families.

I love horses, and it's a real bonus when they are friendly. These have been well treated.

Chasity, what a beautiful shot on its own, but whatever you did to it makes it even lovelier. I could just gaze at this one.

Love you. I hope it went well today. I was afraid to call and hear Shauna had a bad day. Playing ostrich today.

Lovely texture Chasity! I love how much character this photo gives these two horses. You are so good at bringing that out with your composition and texture.

Love the photo! I hope you are doing well.
Thank you for sharing this~ It reminds me how much a horse can help in down times. There is an animal shelter by my work and there are two horses there, last year i would stop and give them apples. I think I am going to have to start carrying some in my car just to make sure to drop by and feed them, it is very therapeutic! Thanks for the reminder! Thinking of all of you!
Love, Tiffany
