Kansas City Here I Come
All cities are mad: but the madness is gallant.
All cities are beautiful: but the beauty is grim.
~Christopher Morley
Whenever we are driving to the city and the big buildings become visible
in the sky line....
my favorite thing to say is
"There's the city kids"
It never gets old.
To me.
:)
This is a view of our city from the Liberty Memorial Tower.
It's a great view.
I love to imagine it when the Union Station was bustling with trains
and horses still clopped on brick streets.

Great view Chas.

Have a great visit
The texture and tone really gives an old time feeling that only the modern buildings belie.
Love the old feel of this photo.
It was a simpler time back then Chas, in some ways it was more wonderful than today, love your photo. Many prayers for Shauna, big hugs to all the family. Are you feeling better?.....:-)
have a wonderful time, I love this view.
hope you have a great time in Kansas City. the view is spectacular. have a great day.
Hope you're having fun!
I can just picture horse drawn carts, the grand old days. Now fast forward 100 years what will the city look like then? This photo will be that era looking back yearning for buses, cars and trucks... not space shuttles! :-)
What a terrific image!
I love the sepia tone in your photo. It does give a feel of long ago. We visited Union Station in KC a few years ago. They have done such a nice job of restoring it, and I too imagined it when it was bustling with trains and people.
Beautiful! I'm usually only zipping through KC these days, but I remember loving to visit as a kid. :)
Great view of the city...enjoy your stay:)
I'm not a city boy (usually I can't wait to get out of the city !), but you've created a lovely image here Chasity.
Chas~ I am so jealous that you got to get this shot! This is the very shot from class that night and I have really been wanting to go up there! Beautiful work my friend, Love ya!
