Sunrise Series #6

Where Moths are Drawn

Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth,
where moth and rust destroy,
and where thieves break in and steal:
But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven,
where neither moth nor rust destroys,
and where thieves do not break in and steal:
For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

~Matthew 6:19-21

This plant is Nicotiana~
which draws the moths in at night by its
enticing smell.

I love those verses. Although I've known them for years and years, it is always good to be reminded of what's really important.

The nicotiana is beautiful. I once had a white nicotiana. I loved the fragrance and the color, for white is the only color that stood out brightly at night, even if there was just the slightest bit of moonlight. I'll have to look into the red. What an amazing Creator we have who thought all this up and then was able to do it!

Your photos always transport me to a better place, Chas. Love this one and the scripture, too.

I'm late visiting from my post last week (still recuperating from an old injury which has kicked up again), but despite my tardiness, I still wanted to thank you for your sweet comments. I appreciate them and you more than you know.

XO,

Sheila

Stunning, Chas ! You captured the red so well - I have trouble with that.

A great passage from Scripture.

I hope you're doing well; have a good week.
