Two Perspectives

This is a native blooming tree in our area...
such a neat blossom.

Three days ago I gave my 8 year old and 6 year old daughters their own point and shoot cameras and we went visiting our favorite conservation area.

I don't have to worry about developing their film now and they don't have to worry about conserving their film...they can click to their little heart's content.

and did they.

The photo below was taken by my 8 year old.

I was blown away.

What a little different perspective can give on the same flower.

I love it.

I need to think of some great way to display all the lovely photos she is getting.

Ideas?

Amazing budding photographers. And they will only get even better.

What about a online album? They cost nothing, and they can email friends invitations to view them.

What a stunning shots. Love them. My 5 year old daughter has been using my P&s camera too. I just got her a pro flickr a week ago but I didn't edit the pictures. I displayed them SOOC but I need to resized them.

What lovely shots and I love the idea that you've given your daughters cameras to work with - the younger they start the better they'll become. And what a start - love the backlight in the second!

Aside from just printing out and using something like BluTack to stick photos to the wall, how about a group of plain black frames on the wall, for which you keep changing the contents as new treasurs are captured? They'd get a reall buzz out of seeing their work 'professionally' displayed. :)

Your daughter has an excellent eye for detail, she sees all angles. The last photo is gorgeous.

I think it was a great idea to give the kids cameras. I think they both have talent!

Quick!!! Get your 8 year old in a photography class!! I just bet you'd be taken care of nicely with the money your child could make just taking photos and selling them.

My macro is one of the best things in life....my grandson's teeny tiny hand at age 1.

Stop by if you can, I'd love your company today.

The apple doesn't fall far from the tree;) Lovely, lovely photos! A digital frame would display her photos nicely...or an old frame with twine or chicken wire added & use clips to attach the photos:)

Grandma thinks it should be displayed at the Nelson atkins Museum of Art.
Love you,

Wow, this is very impressive! How wonderful of you to give them cameras – they will always appreciate it. As for displaying them, we often mount small images on foam core and then they can stand alone on bookshelves, desks, wherever, and be moved around easily. Have a great day and thanks for your visit! :)
