Water Worn

God writes the gospel not in the Bible alone,
but on trees and flowers and clouds and stars.
~Martin Luther

This trail had the most wonderful stumps and logs that had been worn by water and time.
I thought that this stump would make an amazing piece of furniture....
a base to a table or something.

but instead...
it is some squirrel's haven of rest.

That's good too.

That is good, too! But I agree, it would be the perfect rustic touch to a polished living room.

I have a beautiful old stump which has been polished and shellacked and given to me over 40 years ago. I adore it....many prayers for Shauna.....:-)Hugs

Trying again - I think nature holds so much beauty and love it when other photographers capture a bit and share it with the rest us.

What a nice find. Love that stump especially around the roots with the moss etc. Really nice.

What a fantastic capture, it looks like the stump was set in the midst of these surroundings especially for a photo shoot! I love it. I agree that it would make something very nice but your right, squirrels need a playground too! :-)

LOVE this enchanting squirrel apartment! Lovely, magical piece of wood... I can definitely see that with a piece of glass on top as living room side table. But I'd let the squirrels have it first. ;o) Happy Day, Chas ((HUGS))
