Standing Tall

When it is dark enough,
you can see the stars.
~Ralph Waldo Emerson

I had a difficult time interpreting my feelings on this photo.

I see strength in this tree.

I also see sorrow as it is quieting for the winter.

I see the storms of life surrounding it.

But I also see other trees near it.
Trees in the same situation.

Other trees standing tall.

I am this tree.

Me.

I think you interpreted it perfectly

I went to KC when I was really little, but don't remember it - so I've never been to Powell BG.

It's funny, they say fish have tiny brains, but they seem to have enough to know where their meal comes from! heheheee

I like your interpretation and the photo, Chas. I see you standing tall, too, surrounded by friends and loved ones. I see something else, too. After the winter, the earth renews itself, and there is spring and the glory of Easter and what it means to us as believers.

Love you much...

XO,

Sheila

The only thing more gorgeous than this photo is your interpretation. I feel inspired after visiting your blog today. Thank you.

I see strength as the tree stands tall and naked against the onslaught of fall and soon winter. Nice one here Chasity.

Beautiful photo! I first saw the sunlight shining through the tree...and I see how God's light shines through you. It shines brighter because of the storms.

Chasity, This is a beautiful photo. To me it speaks of God's light shining through us and upholding us even in the darkest of times.

Love you, friend!
