Yesterday's Bloom

It's so curious: one can resist tears and 'behave' very well in the hardest hours of grief.
But then someone makes you a friendly sign behind a window,
or one notices that a flower that was in bud only yesterday
has suddenly blossomed, or a letter slips from a drawer...

and everything collapses.

thanks so much for the comment/compliment you left about my horse pic - i'll let ya in on a lil secret tho, it was pure luck that i got those 2 shots - i wasn't trying to shoot it that way - i wasn't even paying attention to the grass in the foreground but when i uploaded them, i really liked how they showed up
nevertheless, thank you!

Chas, this is a stunning shot and amazing words to go with it, words which I can relate to and have experienced.

I'll continue to keep you and all of your loved ones, especially your sister, in my prayers. Huge hugs sent your way today. May God bless you and yours.

Absolutely gorgeous, Chas!

And I know that feeling so well. At moments I think I have it all under control (and am under pressure), all it takes is an unexpected kindness, and the dam breaks. But the good news is... it happens to all of us so we don't have to feel foolish for our feelings. Jesus wept, too.

Sending you hugs and love across the miles, sweet girl, and I pray for your entire family as well.

XO,

Sheila :-)

Chas,
I feel the need to hold on to the remnants of summer this time of year, as if I could fend off the encroaching winter just a little bit longer. Such is life, all things fading from view, only to return again in the spring fresh and new, a rebirth for both flowers and spirits. Prayers to you and your sister. AJ

Oh the beauty of a rose{sigh}! This quote really hit home today...just this weekend I came across something unexpected that belonged to my mom (she's been gone over a year now) and I just sobbed. Wishing you peace, Chasity, and saying prayers for Shauna.

So pretty! I love the texture too. Kinda vintagey. And the quote - so right on.
