A great photograph is a full expression of what one feels about what is being photographed in the deepest sense,
and is, thereby, a true expression of what one feels about life in its entirety. ~Ansel Adams

We are studying Ansel Adams in school right now.
I am inspired by his story of childhood ~
how he didn't quite fit the mold ....
but he found his niche in life because of the support and
encouragement of his parents.

I hope that I can help my own children discover their passions
and help nurture those so that they can do what they love.

Make the most of yourself, for that is all there is of you. ~Ralph Waldo Emerson

I think a parent can do so much to influence a child, either for the positive or the negative.
I love the black and white photo.

Your photo is fantastic Chas, it looks awesome in B&W. I love the quote by Emerson, it's so true and such a waste of time to try to be what others want you to be. That phase of my journey was one of my tough life lessons which thankfully is nothing more than a distant memory.

I was going to say that the first photo reminded me of Ansel Adams then I saw this one. I would hang this up to keep looking at it. It shows more that just changing a picture to black and white.
