The Secret Garden

I have a long held wish that I will stumble upon an old rusty gate...
work it delicately open on creaky hinges
step through
and find myself walking into a place of the past.
A magical place full of horses, carriages, and ladies adorned in lovely hats and white gloves
having tea on the grassy lawns.

Amazing photo - it makes me want to dig up a copy of Secret Garden - my favorite childhood book.

I am so drawn to these kinds of shots...just a utilitarian object in close showing age and wear of usage.

Great!

I just watched the old movie The Secret Garden this weekend with Margaret Sullivan (1940's) it was very much like your wish. I love these kind of pictures Chas. Have a great week, so many prayers for Shauna.....:-)Hugs

Great shot Chas ! I do that trip to the past in my mind when I'm walking around an historic building or site - just imagining what the people were like who lived there in that past time. We think those were the 'good old days' but I'm sure they were hard. Funny things is that it won't be long before we look back on these very days and refer to them as the good old days.
